THE HEART OF ALASKA - EXCERPT CHAPTER 2

It is time to resume excerpts again. I hope you enjoy this one from Chapter 2. As always, this excerpt is unedited but will give you a good idea of what's to come for Charli, Ethan, Francesca, and Jackson!

As Charli walked out of the women's bathroom, she took two steps forward and ran into a hard body. When she looked up at the man, who now had his large, strong hands wrapped around her upper arms, her heart skipped a beat. The most amazing green eyes stared back at her.

“Pardon me, ma’am," he said in a deep, booming voice that belied his tall lean appearance. “I’m so sorry.”

“No, no excuse me. It was totally my fault.”

“Have a nice day, miss,” he smiled, tipping his cowboy hat to give her a peek of the curly red hair beneath.

Her heart skipped another beat and her voice betrayed her. “You too,” she whispered breathlessly.

Wow, he was the most gorgeous man she had seen in a long, long time. He definitely wasn’t a mere stupid boy like the ones back home. Then, for the briefest of moments, her world tilted…Déjà vu was what her dad called it when that happened. Did she know this sexy stranger?

Shaking herself out of a lust induced fog, she started on her walk around the concourse. After about ten feet, she had the sudden urge to follow the red-haired man. There was just something about him…something amazing, something that took her breath away. It hit her for the first time that she could do what she wanted and nobody else would know. When he came out of the restroom, she turned and followed him.
